Mary Mac was born Mary McInroy in Scotland and although a relevant new comer to the jazz scene, Mary has been singing and writing songs in the music business for around twenty years. At 19 she joined Adam 812 an all female band based in Scotland. They supported various bands such as The Average White Band and Run Rig and where also Jessie Rae’s (Odyssey’s ‘Inside out) backing band.

After a long and fruitful period Mary moved to London around 1995, and recorded and composed her first solo album ‘River Song’ (1997) on vivid sound records, a subsidiary of polystar records. This album is a collection of original poppy jazz numbers.
